They Make an App for That!

You are going to Napa and Sonoma to sample some wine, and you can’t find a sitter? Not a problem anymore with the new iPhone app by Michele Bigly, author of the guidebooks, Northern California: An Explorer’s Guide and Great Destinations Kauai. Published by Sutro Media, this interactive Wine Country travel guide currently lists the top 120 family friendly activities and restaurants, wineries (yes, they exist), playgrounds, attractions, bathrooms with changing tables, parks and beaches, plus clothing and toy stores, swimming spots, festivals and hidden gems for the whole clan in and around Napa and Sonoma.

The Wine Trail at the End Of The Road

To say that the Napa Valley is scenic would be an understatement. Everywhere you look there are verdant green hills and grape vines, and we were excited to be out on the road on our first trail. We traveled south down Highway 29, which runs through Napa, and then east into the hilly suburbs of several smaller towns.
